Data Recovery is a process of searching lost data from portions of existing/previously existing file system or from raw sectors and retrieving them with their original structure intact. The most common data recovery process involves the following stages; Analysis of the file system and assembling boot sector, partition table and allocation structures of the system area.

    "HotFix Table, Volume Definition Table are missing or corrupted"
  • Recovery if Novell Volume does not mount.
  • Recovery if Novell operating system is corrupted.
  • Recovery even if File allocations are damaged.
  • Recovery from deleted volumes.
  • Recovery from sub-allocated volumes.
  • Recovery from compressed files.
  • Recovery from the Novell Netware volumes where “VREPAIR” failed to repair the volumes.

Steps for Recovery

  • Select the hard disk to recover.
  • Now choose the Quick Mode.
  • First the partition table will be checked.
  • If partition table is corrupted then it searches for the Netware partition.
  • If NetWare partition is also not found then choose “Advance Mode”.
  • The Volume Definition Table for the selected partition is searched.
  • If unable to locate the Volume Definition Table, then choose Advance Mode.
  • Select the Volume that needs to be recovered.
  • The volume would be simulated and all folders will be listed.
  • Select the folders and save the files to another drive.
  • After saving, transfer the files them to a working Novell Volume.
  • Click on compress.exe from QR folder.
  • And then select the folder where you have copied the recovered files and Click on Ok.
  • Now Novell NetWare will be able to open these files too.
